In my mind this is a hugely important aspect of having productive and purposeful relationships in whatever you do. I am meeting new people and observing and supporting others in their development this week and therefore have taken time to reflect on the importance of Empathy.

NETWORK (ING)
I had a conversation with an old contact whom I had not spoken to for over 5 years. It really made me consider the breadth and depth of my NETWORK and how I currently engage with it! It was brilliant. We picked up where we left off, swapped stories, challenged each other, listened to some of our successes and will look to speak again sooner rather than later.

COLLABORATION

OWNERSHIP
I have been fortunate to have had 2 great conversations with coaching clients today, and the underlying theme was OWNERSHIP.
OWNERSHIP of thoughts, behaviours, actions, decisions and attitudes.Ā
I have reflected on my own practice and recognise this to be an integral part of what I do every day - or at least consider!
- How much ownership of your actions, decisions, behaviours, attitudes etc... do you take?
- What underpins your relationship with 'taking ownership'?
- What part has your origin story played in your relationship to 'taking ownership'?
- Do you only take ownership when things go right, or wrong, or both?
Some big questions.....
Take some time to consider what taking ownership of everything you do would mean? What would this mean for the decisions you take and the choices you take?Ā

MY WHY
Simon Sinek has done some fabulous work on understanding your 'WHY' (If you are not familiar with it then have a look into it!)
I have been considering mine for some time and feel it is the right time to share it.... It currently works for me and in time might crystallise even further.

What is the trace you would like to leave?
How does knowing and articulating what is important to you motivate and inspire you?
If you are not sure - how might you further consider your why?

For those interested My WHY - it is as follows...
āTo inspire people to do the things that inspire them and leave the world better than I found it. And specifically, I want to help people find and do more meaningful work. I want to help people relieve their chronic work anxiety by helping them see patterns in their story, so they can design their lifestyle around the work they have always wanted to do. I want to be remembered by the people whose lives I have touched as a force for good in their lives.ā

CONNECTION
I have had a challenging few days - both positively and negatively - which has made me reflect on the idea of 'Connection'
- What does it mean to you?

- What part does language and the use of words play in making connections?
